FAIRHOPE, AL OWENS Mr. Curtis Woodrow Owens age 95, a native of Crenshaw County, AL and a resident of Fairhope since 1941, died Thursday July 30, 2009. Mr. Owens worked at Auburn University Gulf Sub Station over the dairy. He worked there for thirty-eight years and retired in 1979. Mr. Owens is preceded in death by three sons Toppy, Bobby and Curtis [Butch] Owens and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 71 years Buna W. Owens of Fairhope, AL Daughter Belinda Owens Douglas of Fairhope, AL. Brothers Quintin [Bill] E. Owens of St. Petersburg, FL and Neal Owens of Montgomery, AL. Ten Grandchildren, and eleven Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday August 3, 2009 at 10am from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday August 2, 2009 from 6pm to 8pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope, AL. Interment will be in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
