Blanche Uebelacker Brakke died May 3 in a nursing home in Tigard, Oregon. She was born in Ellensburg, March 16, 1898, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Uebelacker.

On Oct. 27, 1921 she married Fred Brakke. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Darrel (Barbara) Snyder of Tigard; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Harry Bronson of San Jose, Calif.; and a brother, Urban Uebelacker of Ellensburg.

Young's Funeral Home in Tigard is in charge of arrangements.

Blanche A. Brakke, a retired Wilcox Memorial Hospital nurse, died Sunday in a Lake Oswego convalescent home. She was 83.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Thursday at Young's Funeral Home in Tigard. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, with interment following in Willamette National Cemetery.

Mrs. Brakke, a Tigard resident, was born in Ellensburg, Wash., and came to the Portland area in 1941. She retired as a nurse supervisor in 1962.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Snyder of Tigard; one brother, Urban Uebelacker of Ellensburg; a sister, Geneva Bronson of San Jose, Calif. and three grandchildren.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Kelly Center Building Fund at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
