Katherine G.(illespie) Arrington 95, formerly of Sykesville, died Sunday Feb. 3 2002, at her son's home in Mount Airy.

Born on Dec. 29 in Richlands, Tazewell County, Va., she was the daughter of the late George William and Ida Sarah Bailey Hurt.

She was the wife of Daniel Richard Arrington, who died in 1987.

She was a graduate of BelAir High School and of the former Towson Normal School (Teacher's College). S

She had taught at the former Marriottsville School House as well as being a homemaker.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-laws, sister, nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brother James P. Sr. and George Hurt; and sisters Elizabeth Amoss and Virginia Slagle.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville.

Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery.
