Mrs. Anna Abernathy Succumbs; Rites Set
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodmen Circle Home for
Mrs. Anna Lois Abernathny, 79, who died at 2:55 p.m. Monday at the home after
a long illness.
Dr. Tom Brandon, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will conduct the services.
Burial will be in Woodmen Circle Cemetery, directed by Waldo Funeral Home.
Mrs. Abernathy was born March 24, 1885 in Chandler. She was a member of the
Baptist Church.
Survivors are three brothers, J.F. Rice and Tom D. Rice, both of Compton, Calif.,
and Ed Rice of Nacogdoches; a nephew, Jack Crowby of Fort Worth; and a
niece, Mrs. Jim Bob Nations of Azle.
