Ernest H. Rice, pioneer citizen of this county, who died at his home near Chandler at 3:30 Thursday was laid to rest at Concord, three miles North of Chandler this afternoon. The burial service was in charge of the Masonic fraternity, in which the deceased held membership for many years.
Funeral services were held at Chandler by Rev. H.H. Wallace, pastor of the North Tyler Baptist church, assisted by Rev. J.M.P. Morrow, State Missionary Evangelist of the Baptist church of Fort Worth, whose wife was a sister of the deceased.
Besides his wife, Mr. Rice is survived by eleven children, two sisters and one brother.
