Jessie Musetta Peeler, who taught school in White Salmon and Stevenson areas for 26 years, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Skyline Hospital, at the age of 86.
She was born Sept. 1, 1900 to Edward and Musetta Cornett in Condon, Ore., and moved with her family to White Salmon in 1905. She married Roland R. Peeler. Mrs. Peeler was a member of the Rebekahs, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Grands Club, Past Matrons Club, and a retired member of the teachers association.
Mrs. Peeler is survived by her daughter, Pat Cozad of Sherwood, Ore., one grandchild, and three nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon, with the Rev. Arthur Dickie officiating. Interment followed in the White Salmon Cemetery.
