Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, in Myers Colonial Funeral Home of DeRidder. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Sugartown. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.
Ms. Boggs was born near Sugartown to William and Izella Singletary Boggs on Jan. 17, 1905. Valedictorian of her class at Sugartown, she then attended Port Arthur Business School. She worked in Lake Charles for 30 years at the Farmers Home Administration as a secretary. She retired to the family home in Sugartown, where she was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Frank Boggs of Sugartown; one sister, Gertrude Boggs Brunson of Lake Charles; three nephews; one niece; five great-nieces; and three great nephews.
