Graymont, Ga., Jan. 15 - Funeral services for Samuel Robert Bishop, age 79, who died at his home here Wednesday night after a short illness, were held Friday afternoon at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. William Kitchens of Statesboro conducted the funeral rites. Mr. Bishop was born in Telfair County and moved to Emanuel County in 1900 and had lived here since. He was never married and has always lived with his brother, Tom Bishop. He is survived by one brother, Tom Bishop; one niece, Mrs. Ruby Durden of Statesboro; three nephews, John Willard Bishop, Statesboro, Hugh Bishop and Clyde Bishop of Graymont.
The pallbearers were, Wayne Bishop, Billie Bishop, Clyde Bishop, Jr., Raymond Durden, Harmes Melton and Samuel Durden.
