MAYODAN — Gaynelle Joyce Collins, 64, of 610 Beaver Creek Road, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bobby Wilmoth officiating. Interment will follow in Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Collins was born July 16, 1946 in Stokes County, to the late James Alvis and Nellie Amos Joyce. She was a past employee of Unifi, Inc. and Universal Solutions and was a member of Gospel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Leroy Graves Collins and brother, Bobby Joyce.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy "Coxie" Collins, Steven Collins and wife, Sherry, all of Mayodan and Dwight Collins and fiancé, Meredith Snyder, of Wilson; brother, Anthony Joyce and wife, Jean, of Eden; sisters, Daisy Boyd of Collinsville, VA., Elaine Sparks of Summerfield and Cynthia Newman of Stoneville; five grandchildren and two great -grandchildren
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the residence.
