Pearl E. (Reed) Bell – the Leader-Vindicator Pearl E. Bell, 98, of Summerville, Jefferson County, died at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1995, in Jefferson Manor Health Center in Brookville. Born Dec. 14, 1896, in Dora, Jefferson County, she was a daughter of Charles and Abbie Michael Reed.

She was the last of her immediate family.In her early years, Mrs. Bell operated a general store in Dora. Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. She was married June 25, 1929, to Clarence M. Bell, who survives. They were married 66 years this past June.

Also surviving are two sons, Harold Bell of Summerville and Dean Bell of New Bethlehem; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Lula) Hetrick and Mrs. Elmer (Erma) Hetrick, both of Punxsutawney RD 4; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Bell Lowman; three brothers, Grover Reed, Earl Reed and Larry Reed; and four sisters, Carrie Adams, Emma Maxwell, Mary Dinger and Nellie Thompson.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Rev. James Dietrich officiating. Burial will be in Ohl Cemetery, Ohl, Pa., Beaver Township, Jefferson County
