ABBIE (MICHAEL) REED
Funeral services were held at Punxsutawney, Saturday for Mrs. Abbie REED, of Dora, who died Tuesday in Brookville, following a lengthy illness. She was 93 years of age.
Born in Ringgold Township, on March 27, 1865, a daughter of Samuel and Mary (WISE) MICHAEL, she was married to Charles REED, who died in 1948. Mrs. Reed was a member of the E. U. B. Church in Dora, where she had resided all her life.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Carrie REED of Erie; Mrs. Pearl BELL, of Mayport R # 2; and Mrs. Nellie THOMPSON, of Philipsburg. She also leaves 27 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren.
Friends were received in the Schenkemeyer Funeral Home. Services were held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Dora E. U. B. Church, with Rev. Bruce Thobias officiating. Interment was in the Ringgold Cemetery.
