Obit: Funeral services for Mrs. William Bauer, 85, Anoka, Minnesota, formerly of Pierson, Iowa, were held at Salem Lutheran Church, rural Correctionville, with the Rev. Donald Wahlgren officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Pierson, under the direction of Dickison Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley. Mrs. Bauer died Monday, January 18, 1971, in an Anoka nursing home. Mrs. Bauer, the former Caroline Kimm, was born August 19, 1885 in Pierson. She was married in 1907. They farmed in Plymouth County, Iowa, until 1915 when they moved to rural Anoka. He died in 1946. Survivors include sons, William of Orondo, Washington, Lester of Ionia, Michigan, and Ralph of Anoka, Minnesota, and daughters, Mrs. Henry Kucera of Princeton, Minnesota, and Mrs. Joseph Mikels of Canadensis, Pennsylvania, nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. George Meister and Mrs. Emmet McDermott both of Kingsley, Mrs. Laura Shea of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Mrs. Lura Hathaway of Beach, North Dakota, and a half-sister, Mrs. Lloyd Rogers of Sioux City.
