OBITUARY
Eliza Ann Delaney was born at Crab Orchard, Kentucky, June 14, 1837.
When a girl, her parents moved to Henderson County, Illinois.
She was married to Richard Enfield, who was a veteran of the civil war, being a member of Co. H., 47th Illinois.
To this union eleven children were born, three of whom died in infancy.
She was converted at the age of twelve years and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, living a consistent christian until death.
She was a loving and kind mother, always willing to lend a hand to help the unfortunate and needy.
She is survived by eight children, Albert of Fort Dodge, George of Oakland, Minnesota, William H., John M. and Mrs. John Jacobs of Myrtle, Minn., James T. of Newton and Mrs. H. Meredith and Mrs. F. Graham of Lynnville. She is also survived by thirty-seven grand-children and thirty-three great-grand-children.
The remains were brought to Lynnville, where funeral services were held in the M. E. church Wednesday forenoon at eleven o'clock, conducted by Rev. Z. H. Doan. Interment was made in Woodland cemetery.
Her children were all with her during her last sickness and one day were all together around her bedside, something that had not been possible for some time. Mrs. H. Meredith and Mrs. Frank Graham, remaining until her death.
Her children were all present at the funeral, also a niece and nephew from Illinois. She leaves one brother in North Dakota.
