Ulrika died in Bucklin, MO in 1870. Charles married a widower Anna Louise Lindberg in 1871. In 1878 several families left MO and traveled to Kansas in a covered wagon, settling in the Kackley area.
When John was about 17 years old, he
went to clerk in a store at Jamestown
Later he was employed in a store at
Scandia and from there went to Chicago
where he occupied a similar
position in the Fair. He returned to
Jamestown where he engaged in the
Mercantile business where he became
quite prosperous.
He leaves a wife, Georgia (Mercer)
and an adopted son William Leon
Lundblade to mourn his loss. Other
