Funeral services for Robert Craft Fenley, 94, of Hudson will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2004 in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home chapel in Lufkin with Rev. Bud Bonner officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park under the auspices of Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 A.F. and A.M..
Mr. Fenley was born on December 03, 1909 in Angelina County, Texas, the son of Vevey (Jordan) and Thomas Milledge Fenley and died on Monday, January 26, 2004 in Lufkin.
A lifelong resident of Lufkin, he worked for Lufkin Industries for 45 years. He retired as a Supervisor. Mr. Fenley was a 50 year member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge No. 669 A.F. and A.M. He was a 32 degree Mason. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Gayle and Daryll Bennett of Henderson; son and daughter in law, Perry and Penny Fenley of Hudson; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Holly and Stephen Scogin, Kate and Greg Moon, Katya Bennett, Meagan Fenley, Will Bennett, Jenae Fenley, Nick Bennett, and Roma Fenley; one great grandson, Peyton Scogin; sister, Ava Nell Modisette of Gulfport, MS.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fenley was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Murle Fenley, in 1985, and by a grandson, Joshua Bennett.
Bob Alexander, Pate Fenley, Paul Fenley, Tommy Fenley, Joe Standley, Charles Smith, and Will Bennett will serve as pallbearers for the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
