William David Armes, the son of William Armes, Jr. and Cinderella Conklin, was born October 20, 1857 in Grayson County, Kentucky. His paternal grandparents were William Armes, Sr. and Barbara Bear. His maternal grandparnts were David Conklin and Lydia Cunningham. He was the husband of Phebe Ann Morrison, the daughter of James hickman Morrison and Phebe Ann Kerr. They were probably married about 1879 as there were only the two of them in the 1880 Census of Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky. They were the parents of known children: son H. H. and daughters: Emma E., Essie Matilda and Mary Elizabeth. There may have been other children. William David Armes died at the age 59 years, 7 months and 15 days on June 6, 1917. He was buried in the Hanging Rock Church Cemetery at Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky.
