Ambrose Armes died on December 18, 1922 in Grayson County and was buried there in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Leitchfield, Kentucky. His stone gives his name of J. Ambrose Armes and his dates as 1870-1922. Clytie Meredith Armes joined her husband there after her death on September 2, 1980 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
