Ellen A. Ross, 67, of Freeport died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 1, 1998) in Allegheny University Hospitals, Allegheny Valley, Harrison.

She was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Clinton, Md.

Mrs. Ross was a nurse's aid at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 20 years before retiring.

She attedded Freeport United Methodist Church, in Freeport.

Mrs. Ross enjoyed playing cards, pool and making crafts.

Survivors include two sons, John E. Ross of Channahon, Ill., and C. William Ross of Freeport; a daughter, Patricia A. Ross of Freeport; six grandchildren; three brothers, David and Arthur Summers of Sevierville, Tenn., and Thomas Summers of Richmond, Va.; and two sisters, Mary June Zamrok of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Betty Lee Roberts of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil D. Ross, in 1989; her parents, William E. and Marian Borman Summers; and a sister, Jean Gibbons.

Friends will be recieved from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Redmond Funeral Home Inc., Freeport, where services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. William White officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Harrison.
