Born to Arturo and Dolores Luna Barron. Sister of Arturo Jr, Anna, Stella, Delia & Ruben. The family lived in the Yale St. area of L.A., she often spoke of growing up around downtown L.A., riding the "Angel's Flight" streetcar, exploring Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Olvera Street & Elysian Park. She was quite the adventurer even at a young age. Graduated from Washington High School in Los Angeles. Irma worked in the garment district in Los Angeles as a teenager. Married childhood neighbor Eugene Pinson in 1956. They moved to Lakewood, CA. in 1958.
Mom was a wonderful cook, and a surrogate mom to just about every kid in our neighborhood. We all loved her very much. Mom passed away as a result of several debilitating strokes. Mother of Gina, Michael, Mary & Chris. Grandmother of 8.
