Mrs. Alma Gilson Gartin, age 61, wife of Omar Gartin, died at five o'clock Friday morning at her home, 902 North Main street, after an illness since last November of tuberculosis of the bowels. She had been seriously ill for several weeks.
The deceased was born in Rush county December 23, 1870, and lived her practically all of her life. Her first husband, William Shubinski, died in 1915, a deceased daughter being born to this marriage. She was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving besides her husband, are three sisters, Mrs. Fanny G. Downey of Anderson, Mrs. Harriet Howard of Muskegan, Michigan, Mrs. Lola C. Runk of Anderson, and one brother, Dora Gilson, also of Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at the late residence Saturday afternoon at four o'clock with the Rev. Charles I. Stephenson, pastor of the Main Street Christian church, officiating. Interment will be made in East Hill cemetery.
