Mary Ann was the daughter of Elisha Walls and Elizabeth Carnahan Walls. She had one daughter, Maggie Walls. She married Taylor Carnahan about 1874. They had one son, Edgar Hart Carnahan.

OBIT:

AT a little past high noon Thursday, Feb 28, 1906 after a long and distressing illness, Mrs Mary A Carnahan, wife of Taylor Carnahan, was called to her reward at the advanced age of 73 years, 4 months and 22 days. She leaves a daughter and a son, besides a large circle of friends and family and relatives to mourn her loss. Mrs Carnahan has been a member of the Methodist CHurch for more than 40 years and died in triumph of a Christian's faith and hope. A few evenings before she died she invited a company of friends and neighbors in to hold a prayer meeting at her home. After singing and praying with her for more than an hour she bade each one a goodnight and expressed her perfect confidence in her Savior and a readiness to go to him when he called. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor, but a great sufferer, having been afflicted with asthma for many years. We can not call her back, but we go to her.
