On May 25, 1742 (Recorded: 29 May 1742, Berks County, Pennsylvania) Sarah married John Willcockson. John was a "Worldling", not a Quaker, so this union was "Out of Unity" with the Friends of Chalfont, New Britain, Colony of Pennsylvania. It was the first offense of this kind by a member of the Boone family. Eventually, Sarah and her parents would sever all fellowship with that Meeting House.
Sarah bore 15 children to John, including:
David Willcockson b: October 22, 1742 in Lancaster Co., PA

(There is some disagreement regarding dates and order of births. Research is ongoing.)
Her great-grandchildren described Sarah (Boone) Willcockson in the "Portrait and Biographical Album of Fulton Co., IL, 1890, pg. 665":
"She was a woman of remarkable mind and possessed a keen sense of justice and an appreciation of all that was good, being, in fact, a remarkable woman. She was the mother of a large family, and when old age, creeping on apace, deprived her of her natural activity, she made her home with her grandson, Jesse Willcockson and there died".
