Mr. C. A. Samuelson Died Last Saturday

Another long time resident of Phelps County succumbe to the dread reaper last Saturday in the person of Mr. Carl August Samuelson, residing for the past few years at his home at 1023 N. Garfield St. this city.

Mr. Samuelson was born, reared and married in Sweden and he and his family emigrated to Nebraska in 1879, settling near Sutton, where they lived ? years before coming to Phelps county, and have resided in this vicinity8 years ago when they moved to Holdrege.

He leaves to mourn his death an aged wife and eight children, who are Henry, Emil and Victor of Holdrege and Franz of Wyoming. Mrs. Wm. Sandstedt of Holdrege, and a married daughter living on the Atlantic coast, and two married daughters living on the Pacific coast, the three latter ones were not able to attend the funeral.

The funeral services were held Tuesday noon at the home, and also at Prairie Zion church at 2 p.m. by Rev. Peter Munson. Interment was at the Prairie Zion Cemetery.
