Bonnie Martin Ellis, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2009.


She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Charles H. "Chuck" Ellis III; two children, Charles H. "Chip" Ellis IV (Melinda) and Rachel Ellis Sandy (Cory); one granddaughter, Emma Ellis; three stepgrandchildren, Alex, Makayla, and Lucas Sandy; mother, Mildred M. Martin; two brothers, Gary Martin (Beckie) and Jerry Martin (Lori); one sister, Landra Lynn (Michael); as well as several nieces and nephews.


Bonnie was an active member of Fairmount Christian Church and a 30-year employee of D.M.V.


The family received friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where services were held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009. Entombment Signal Hill Memorial Park.
