Almira (a.k.a. "Elmira") was the daughter of Thomas & Nancy Bridge & she was apparently named after her paternal grandmother -- also Almira Bridge. On April 4, 1867, Almira was married to Civil War veteran John Smith Scott in Hardin County, OH. Almira & John became lifelong residents of the town of Kenton in Hardin County. Almira & John reportedly parented six children between the years of 1868 & 1888 (all of whom are also buried at Grove Cemetery): Jessie A. Scott, Evalena B. Scott, Susan M. Scott, Mabel R. Scott, Chase W. Scott, & Dowling O. Scott. Five of these children died as infants -- Susan being the only one to survive to adulthood.
