Mrs. Eckman was born in Wabash on Sept. 10, 1887 to George and Levina (Cook) Koons and on May 7, 1907 was married to John E. Eckman, who survives.
A life resident of Wabash, Mrs. Eckman was a member of the South Side EUB Church.
Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Judy, Mrs. Carl Grimm, Mrs. Robert Jay, and Mrs. Norman Greiner; two sons, Charles and John J. Eckman; one sister, Mrs. Julius Young; 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. One son, James Rolland, three brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death.
Cause of death: Coronary occlusion.
