Betty Jean Gurtner, 75

Mother of Robert S. Greiner of Bluffton, Betty Jean Gurtner, 75, of Wabash died at 4:13 p.m. Wednesday at Miller's Merry
Manor West in Wabash.

She was a receptionist at U.S. Gypsum Co. in Wabash for 12 years, retiring in 1972, and worked two years at the
Honeywell House in Wabash.

Mrs. Gurtner was a member of the Wabash First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir.

She was born in Wabash on Aug. 23, 1923 to John and Bess Koons Eckman. Her first marriage on April 14, 1946 was to
Norman H. Greiner, who died Feb. 18, 1972. Her second marriage on Dec. 23, 1972 was to James A. Gurtner, who died
Jan. 27, 1995.

Surviving, in addition to the son at Bluffton, are another son, Ronald L. Greiner of Wabash; a daughter, Christine K. Noonan
of Wabash; and five grandchildren. Three sisters and three brothers are deceased.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 22, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel in Wabash with Pastor
James MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery at Marion.

Calling hours at the funeral home chapel, 1177 Manchester Ave., will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
