Clora's maiden name was Fite. She was born on 16 September 1865. (Wrong birthdate on tombstone)

Her father was John Fite and her mother was Susan Ann (Stout) Fite. John Fite is buried in the Rigdon Cemetery, Madison County, Indiana. Her mother, Susan died in November 1879, burial unknown. For the U.S. Censuses in Indiana, the family was living in Green Township, Grant County, in 1860 and Duck Township, Madison County, in 1870. The town of Rigdon is on the county line with the cemetery ending up in Madison County, Indiana, which is where her father John was later buried. So maybe her mother Susan is buried there.

From a microfilm on the 1880 Indiana Mortality Index found in the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis: Susan Fite, age 50, died of Consumption; Susan had lived in Duck Creek Twp, Madison County, Indiana for 15 years; i.e. (since 1864). So Clora was likely born at home in Duck Creek Township, and was also living with her family there at the time of the 1880 census.

Clora E Fite married John Lewallen on 18 June 1884 in Grant County, Indiana, USA. On 19 March 1887, their daughter Calista Albina Fite was born in Marshall County; she prefered and was known by her nickname Clistie for the rest of her long life.
