Mrs. Lila V. Brubaker, 59, of 425 N. Silverleaf St., Gladwin, died last Wednesday noon after an illness of several months. Born on July 4, 1904, in Arthur Township, Clare County, the former Lila V. Haddix was married to Ray Brubaker on Sept. 24, 1924, in Gladwin. A lifetime resident of Gladwin County, she was a member of the Gladwin First Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ray; five sons, Richard, Russell, and Ralph, of Midland, Robert of Gladwin, and Murray of Freeland; four daughters, Mrs. Lottie Mack of Saginaw, Mrs. Roszella Foor of Gladwin, and Angelau and Alice Brubaker, at home; her father, Loyal Haddix, of Gladwin; a brother, Otto Haddix, of Midland; and 18 grandchildren. Her mother, Mrs. Alice Haddix, preceded her in death on June 10 of this year.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Ross E. Tracy officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 12-04/1963 Column - 5 Page - 1
