Edward Comer, 82, of Elkton died March 18, 1990, at the home of his gandson in Elkton. He had been ill for two years.

A son of the late James J. and Lucy Sly Comer, he was born on July 4, 1907, in Page County but, lived all his life in the Elkton community.

He was a self employed block mason. Mr. Comer attended Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church and was a member of the Massanutten Hunt Club.

On December 22, 1944, he married the former Marie Downey, who died on July 10, 1955, On June 19, 1957, he married the former Louise Lelia Hensley, who died on May 5, 1985.

Surviving are one step daughter, Bonnie Dorman of McGaheysville, two sisters, Fannie Comer of Ridgley, W.Va., and Pauline Manges, of Whitacre, and one brother, Albert Comer, of Comberland, Md.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Elkton by the Rev. James Harris. Burial will be in the Elk Run Cemetery.
