Adda M. Roofner, 96, of Chicora, formerly of Kittanning, died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Concordia in Cabot. Born Jan. 24, 1918, in Kittanning, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Anne (Hooks) Patton. She was a member of First Church of God, in Kittanning. She formerly worked for the Leader Times. Mrs. Roofner enjoyed traveling, socializing and picnics with her family. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Lemmon; her second husband, George Roofner; brothers, Harry A. Patton Sr. and Lawrence Patton; and sisters, Goldie Ray, Florence Patton, Laura Edna Lash, Wilda Shaffer, Roxie Dailey, Sara Zeigler, Mary Innes and Gladys Rice. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the KENNEDY and BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Nick Wilson officiating. Interment in Kittanning Cemetery.
