Walter Bryan was born March 22, 1865 in Greene county, Indiana, and departed this life November 10, 1938 at his home northwest of Hydro having attained the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 18 days.
He was united in marriage to Leora M. Jones, March 2, 1898 at Fay, Oklahoma. They moved in 1902 to their homestead in this community where he resided until his death.
He was converted and united with the Methodist church near Fay.
He left to mourn his passing, seven daughters and two sons; Ellen Lantz, Wellman, Iowa; Beulah Kail, Oklahoma City; Alice Brown, Hollis,; Mollie McAvoy, Thomas; Rose, Oklahoma City; Florence and Ruth of the home; Charles, Hydro; and Edward of Willow, Okla.; three brothers and one sister - Cal, Thomas; Freel, Concordia, Kans; Harvey, Madera, Cal.; Mrs. Mary Sillix, Perkins, Okla. also 5 grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Veiw Mennonite church, November 12. Interment in cemetery nearby beside his loving companion.
