Wayne Arthur Rumbarger, 48-year-old resident of 226 Chestnut St., Kittanning, died instantly yesterday (Feb. 29, 1960) in a traffic accident on Templeton Road. The World War II veteran was a 10-year employee of the Gas Wells and Lines department of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. He was a member of Kittanning Men's Club. Mr. Rumbarger was born July 10, 1911 at West Monterey, a son of Charles and Cora (Durnell) Rumbarger. He is survived by his mother, a Kittanning resident; his wife, the former Mary Burke; and two daughters, Janice and Jacquelyn, both at home. Also surviving are a brother, James of Crestline, Ohio; and three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Komko, Detroit; Alene Gillen, Detroit; and Betty Shearer, Kittanning. Friends are being received after 7 tonight at Bauer funeral home, where Rev. Lew Johnston, pastor of Kittanning First Methodist Church, will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m. Thursday. Family visitation hours at the funeral home will be from 2 to 4, and from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be made in Kittanning cemetery.
