Gilbert Caswell of Williams, IN, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at his residence. Born on April 16, 1924, in Upton, KY, he was the son of Bert and Sallie (Webb) Caswell. He married Emma J. Rollins on January 30, 1949, and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sally Bocock of Mitchell, IN; two sons: Damon Caswell of Williams, IN, and Howard Caswell of Bedford, IN; three sisters: Wilma Hern of Indianapolis, IN, Margie Redmon of Mooresville, IN, and Ida Stact of Mississippi; one brother, Sam Caswell of Springville, IN; five grandchildren: Melinda Meadows of Vincennes, IN, Howard Pall of Leipsic, OH, Timothy Pall of Greenwich, OH, Howard Caswell, Jr. of Bedford, IN, and Ben Elliott Caswell of Bloomington, IN; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elsie Sego in May, 1969.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II and retired from N.A.D. Crane in 1974.

Graveside services will be at the Silverville Baptist Cemetery following visitation, which is from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2006, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, IN. Military rites will be accorded at the grave by members of the American Legion Gillen Post No. 33 of Bedford, IN.
