That its probably why his record in the 51st Ohio was recorded as "no further record found." In U.S., Civil War Pension Index: General Index to Pension Files, 1861-1934 for Eli Marker, there was a pension claimed 7 May 1896. 1890 Veterans Schedules of the U.S. Federal Census for Eli Marker in Mississinawa, Darke County, Ohio. Did he survive? Then who is in this grave? Or, assumed identity?
