Henry S. Hartman, 95, of Elida, died at 2 a.m. today at his home.
He was born April 9, 1897, in Dale Enterprise, Va., the son of John and Mary Catherine Burkholder Hartman. On Aug. 16, 1923, he married Elizabeth M. Diller, who died in 1980.
Mr. Hartman was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Pike Mennonite Church.
Survivors include three sons, Richard E. Hartman of Elida, Paul G. Hartman of Millersburg and David Lynn Hartman of Florida; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sallie Brenneman of Harrisonburg, Va.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pike Mennonite Church, Rev. Mervin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pike Mennonite Cemetery,
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos.
The remains will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
