CARL PFEIFFER, 61, DIES; RITES SET WEDNESDAY
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Jackson-Lytle funeral home for Carl Pfeiffer, 61, of 935 W. North st., who died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday in the City Hospital.
The Rev. A. C. Stein of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate at the services and burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
A tailor, Mr. Pfeiffer was a life-long resident.
Stricken with a heart attack at 8:40 a.m. Christmas Day, he was administered oxygen by the Fire Department emergency squad, then removed to the hospital where he died about two hours later.
Mr. Pfeiffer had been employed at Wobbe's Tailors and Cleaners for the past 12 years. He was interested in music and a member of the Fortnightly Musical Club. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Born in Springfield Sept. 25, 1888, he was the son of Adam and Caroline Wendt Pfeiffer.
Surviving are the widow, Marie Margaret, a brother, Edward A. of Springfield, two sisters, Amelia Baurouth of Toledo, and Mrs. Margaret McBeth of Elizabethtown, Pa.
