Mr. Treece was born in Pemiscot County August 7, 1889, the son of George and Mary Treece, and spent his entire life in this area. He was employed by the Southeast Missouri Compress Company before retiring and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
On September 13, 1910, in Caruthersville he was married to Miss Clara Montgomery, who preceded him in death June 20, 1964.
He leaves three sons, Robbie Treece of Dexter, Dewey Treece of Caruthersville and Billy Jack Treece of Charleston; three daughters, Mrs. Miriam Smith of Dupo, Ill., Mrs. Audrey Wade and Mrs. Marjorie Stewart of Caruthersville; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchldren.
