Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index, Apr. 5, 1933- Uncle Bob Alexander has sold the store building and the forty acres of land on which it was located, to Tucker Dailey. Mr. Dailey moved the store building to the residence north of the store location and will use it for a barn and poultry house. Ash hardly looks itself with this building gone.

Death notice (Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index, Apr. 15, 1935)- Madison, Mo., April 15- Robert Alexander, farmer living a half mile south of Ash, died this morning at 6:30 o'clock at his home, following a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon from the Ash church with the Rev. W. T. Henson of Moberly in charge. Burial will be at Ash.

Obituary (Moberly (Mo) Monitor-Index, Apr. 17, 1935)- Madison, April 17- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Ash Church for Robert Hall Alexander, life-long Monroe Countian. Burial was in Ash Cemetery. The Rev. W. T. Henson, Moberly Christian minister, preached the funeral. The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Alexander, Mr. Alexander was born June 2, 1866, in Monroe county. He was married to Miss Dillie Conway, who, with their four children, survives. His children are Ray, Byron and Roy, near Madison, and Mrs. Gladys Schoop, near Moberly. Mr. Alexander was owner of a general store in Ash for a number of years, retiring only a few years ago on account of ill health.
