Myron served as Captain with the 149th Regiment (The "Bucktails"), Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Company F (Civil War). He was captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, on July 1, 1863; commissioned Captain, January 28, 1865; and discharged by Surgeon's Certificate on March 17, l865.
