Otto G. Marriott, 92, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield, where he had been a patient since Oct. 1. He was a retired farmer and had spent his entire life in Van Buren county until moving to Fairfield a few years ago.
The son of Isaac and Mary McConnell Marriott, he was born June 29, 1880 near Vernonl On Jan. 14, 1903 he married Julia Ann Davis at Memphis, MO She survives.
Other survivors are a son, Gail Marriott of Milton; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Wilson of Fairfield and Mrs. Jewel Cloyd of Bonaparte; a grandson, Dr. James D. Wilson of Chariton three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; four brothers, Robert, Henry, Paul and Wesley; and one sister, Ellen.
The funeral was held at the Catcott Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, with the Rev. Kenneth Winrich officiating. Burial was in Center Chapel cemetery near Keosauqua.
