She was born March 2, 1902 at Katzbachi,South Russia, the daughter of George and Christina Stickel Kohler.
She emigrated to America with her parents and five sisters in 1912. They had a homestead at Minidoka and she attended schools in Minidoka.
She came to Rupert four years ago after spending most of her adult life in Oakland, Calif. She had never married.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
