Zella Bell Anderson was born
June 13th, 1906 and departed this
life October 21st, 1987. She was
the daughter of the late Alvis
Rusaw Bell and Sarah Miller Bell.
Three brothers, Cooper, Milton
and Preston Bell preceded her in
death.
She was united in marriage to
Floyd Anderson on September
3rd, 1932 and to this union three
children were born. One, an infant
daughter, also preceded her in
death.
Zella professed faith in Christ
at an early age and was a member
of the Canada Creek Baptist
Church until her later years when
she; moved her membership to the
First Baptist Church of Monticello.
Throughout her life, Zella was
employed in positions that made
her a familiar and respected
figure in the community. She was
a school teacher in the Wayne
County School System for 12
years. From 1942 to 1953 she was
postmistress of the post office at
Kidds Crossing. She was
employed in the Wayne County
Courthouse for 29 years until her
retirement in 1981.
Many are left behind to mourn
her passing. Her husband, Floyd;
a daughter, Imogene Kindrick of
Monticello; one son, Earl Oliver
Anderson of Monticello; three
grandchildren; one great
grandchild; two sisters, Grace
Denney and Ila Bell, both of
Monticello; one brother, Clyde
Bell of Coopersville; and several
nieces and nephews.
Zella was a devoted wife, loving
mother, and a true friend. She
will be sadly missed by all who
knew her.
