He died April 24, 1946 in Beckley, Raleigh County, WV, age 47 from stomach cancer. He is buried in the Coal City Cemetery, Coal City, Raleigh County, WV.
William Henry Wickline was an employee of Winding Gulf Coal Company at East Gulf, according to his obituary published April 25, 1956 in the Beckley Post Herald.
He married Mary Romans, in 1917 in Warfield, Martin County, KY. The couple had three children. She died in 1922 around the same time as their youngest daughter.
Second, he married Florence Thorn in Wellston, Jackson County, OH.
William Henry Wickline was survived by his children by his first wife, Mary (Romans) Wickline: Woodrow Wilson Wickline of Okinawa, Japan, who later moved to Honolulu, HI, and Armeda Lula (Wickline) Smith, wife of Charles Dee Smith, of Talcott, Summers County, WV. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (Romans) Wickline (1922) and their infant daughter, Mary Romans Wickline (February 18, 1922, Kermit, Logan County, WV).
Third, he married Mrs. Lockie Belle (Quesemberry) Coffey, widow of Charles Earnest Coffey, Sr., on July 17, 1922 in Raleigh County, WV. She survived William, but died in March 1985 at age 83, Beckley, Raleigh County, WV.
Lockie Belle Quesenberry, born November 15, 1901, Floyd County, VA, had been previously married to Charles Earnest Coffey, Sr. and had other children by that marriage.
