Charles Bovard was the son of John and Frances "Fanny" Bovard. Since his father fought in the Rev. War in 1779, Charles would have been born in Colonial Pennsylvania in about 1780 and not in Ireland as his older siblings were. Charles married Mary Crawford on 10 Sept 1805 in Westmoreland County PA. They had at least 9 children; John, George, Frances, Charles, William, Jane, James, Polly and Mary.
