MRS. MAGGIE SCURRY PASSES AWAY IN PIERCE CO.

Nahunta, Ga., Mar. 27, 1936. Mrs. Maggie Scurry, 65, life-long resident of Pierce County, mother of J. E. Fullford, superintendent of the Part and Tree Commission of Waycross, died Sunday at her residence in Pierce County, after an extended illness.

She is survived by her husband, B. F. Scurry; two sons, J.E. Fullford of Waycross and Dixie Fullford of Shamrock, Fla., and two daughters, Mrs. S. E. Bowen of Blackshear, and Mrs. Emma Smith of Argyle; also seven brothers, George Batten, Ephraim Batten, Ezekiel Batten, Henry Batten, Isham Batten, Matthew Batten, and Johnny Batten of Blackshear, and four sisters, Mrs. Martha Thrift of Hilliard, Fla., Mrs. J.E. Barnard of Jesup, Mrs. Frances Johns of Hickox, and Mrs. Julia Johns of Hickox.

Funeral services were held Monday at Enon Church near Blackshear, with burial at Enon Cemetery.
