When Henry was about thirteen, his father was appointed to a position with the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. Here Henry was raised and educated. He became well known for his athletic abilities; running track, quarterback of the high school football team and later captain of the 1906 George Washington University baseball team.
After graduating from George Washington, Henry Bradley started to work in the office of the U.S. Postmaster; where he rose to various highly appointed positions.
On June 22nd 1905, young Henry married Miss Gertrude Cecelia Brice of Washington. This union was blessed with four sons:
Henry Moffatt (1905-1909)
William Oscar (1907-1988)
Patrick Clifton (1910-1962)
John Edward (1915-1981)
Over the years, Henry continued to play baseball with the Post Office League until he departed this life on June 11th 1960 in the 79th year of his age.
