Becky A. Chastain, 86, Mooresville, died July 6, 2009, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mrs. Chastain was born March 7, 1923, in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of the late Cecil and Drucilla (Matthews) Allen.

Mrs. Chastain graduated from Pana High School in Pana, Illinois. She worked for 29 years for Western Electric, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mrs. Chastain was a former resident of Knightstown, Indiana and Cape Coral, Florida.

Survivors include her husband, John Chastain, to whom she was united in marriage July 15, 1961; son, Gary Sarver (Nancy) of Mooresville; sister, Avalena Toney of Pana, Illinois; grandchildren, Beth Ann Davis, Timothy Raymond Sarver, Gary Michael Sarver; 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2009, in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2009. Rev. Jeff Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
