Phoebe McConnell Day, 95, our dearly beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at her home in Draper, Utah on January 4, 1997.


She was born March 8, 1901 in Cedar City, Utah to Thomas Frank and Rachael Evans McConnell.


Married Harmon Eastman Day in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 15, 1926.


Phoebe served a mission for the LDS Church in the Oakland California Mission in 1923. She also served a genealogy mission and was a genealogy researcher for 40 years. She has served in all LDS Church auxiliaries. Phoebe kept a beautiful home, quilted and sewed for her children and grandchildren.


Survivors: sons, James (Joyce); Douglas; Henry (Barbara); Steven (Dianna); daughters, Norma King; Rachel Patience (Joe); Ramona Greer (Fred); Delores Boberg (Jack); Evelyn Holmes (Robert); daughter-in-law, LaRayne Day; 43 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by her husband, son, Jack, son-in-law, Dale, parents, and six brothers and sisters.


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Draper Seventh Ward Chapel, 12300 South 600 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 South State Street, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Church from 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Draper City Cemetery.
