She was born on July 10, 1910, in Milburn, Utah, to Joseph and Emma Jane Jensen. She married Kenneth E. Anderson on August 21, 1929, marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on September 18, 1930. They shared 51 years together before his death on September 23, 1980. They lived in Spring Canyon and Wales, Utah, before moving to Price. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many positions on both a ward and stake level.
He 88 years on this earth were filled with service and accomplishment. She and her husband ran a boarding house in Spring Canyon. She started the school lunch program at Notre Dame School, was a gifted floral designer and later owned and operated the Mode O'Day dress shop in Price for many years before her retirement. Clista loved life. Her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed gardening and was very proud of her many yard beautification awards. Fond memories of her hard work, service, good food, gentle mothering, and love of the gospel will stay with us forever.
Clista will be greatly missed by her three sons, K. Duane (Helen) Anderson, Nephi; Boyd J. (Katherine) Anderson, Spring Glen; Lynn J. (Glee) Anderson, Price; and daughter, Leah (John) Bryner, Sandy; as well as 18 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and a community of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Glen J. Anderson, parents, brothers and sisters, a grandson and great-grandson.
The family wishes to thank her wonderful friends Lois, Jean and Joan for all their love and care during her last years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Price 4th Ward Chapel, 545 East 400 North, Price, Utah. Friends and family may visit at the Faucett Mortuary, 680 East 100 South, on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:45-10:45 at the church prior to the services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
